Often after one returns, <strong>nostalgia<\/strong> invites itself and some grim <strong>Camino-blues<\/strong> settles in. A feeling that truly is no fun&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">So, <strong>what to do when clouds cloak your stars?<\/strong> Here are some ideas to <strong>lift your spirit and put a smile back on your face<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-419 size-full\" title=\"Ideas against your Camino-blues\" src=\"http:\/\/santiagoinlove.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2016\/12\/Nostalgie.jpg\" alt=\"Camino-blues\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/santiagoinlove.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2016\/12\/Nostalgie.jpg 480w, https:\/\/santiagoinlove.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2016\/12\/Nostalgie-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Of course, ideally, the pilgrims arrive in Santiago, go back home and happily go on with their lives. However&#8230;\u00a0<strong>if it were true, we&#8217;d know!<\/strong> Who never felt blue about the Camino? So, even if the objective is to return to &#8220;normal&#8221; life and to integrate the experience of the pilgrimage into it, <strong>relapse a bit into the Camino can be good for your spirit!<\/strong> And so, there&#8217;s no time to waste! Pick an idea and put it into practice \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Be depressed<\/strong>. A bit, which is normal. But don&#8217;t wallow in that mood&#8230;<\/li>\n<li>Give yourself time and\u00a0<strong>be nice to yourself!<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Turn to your <strong>scallop<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Think of\u00a0<strong>Saint James<\/strong> and talk to him<\/li>\n<li>Get all your\u00a0<strong>hiking gears<\/strong> out of their closet. Then, eventually&#8230;<\/li>\n<li>&#8230; sort them out and\u00a0<strong>improve<\/strong> your pack<\/li>\n<li>Consequently, spend hours\u00a0<strong>discovering<\/strong> the 1001 hiking stuff that exist (and twice as much dissecting\u00a0<strong>comparative charts<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<li>Admire the\u00a0<strong>pictures<\/strong> of your past Camino(s)<\/li>\n<li>Decide,\u00a0<em>at last<\/em>, to make\u00a0<strong>album<\/strong> out of them<\/li>\n<li>Daydream about all the good and not-as-good\u00a0<strong>moments<\/strong> you had<\/li>\n<li>For old-school pilgrims, relive your journey\u00a0<strong>on a real map<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>For high-tech pilgrims, same. But <strong>on screen<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Read pilgrimage\u00a0<strong>testimonies<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>fiction<\/strong> stories and other\u00a0<strong>books<\/strong> dedicated to the Camino<\/li>\n<li>Skim over <strong>coffe-table books<\/strong> about the Way and find out where the pictures were taken (without checking captions)<\/li>\n<li>Spend hours researching and (re)discovering the surprising (and true) <strong>History<\/strong> of Saint James, of Santiago, of the pilgrimage, of the Ways<\/li>\n<li>Lazily watch\u00a0<strong>movies<\/strong> about the Camino. Or\u00a0<strong>documentaries<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Hang around on\u00a0<strong>websites<\/strong> dedicated to the Way<\/li>\n<li>Meet again pilgrims you know,\u00a0<strong>for real<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Meet again pilgrims you know,\u00a0<strong>on social medias<\/strong> (for the anti-SM, send them mails. Or call them!)<\/li>\n<li>Meet local pilgrims at meeting of the local\u00a0<strong>association<\/strong> of the Camino<\/li>\n<li>Meet pilgrims from everywhere on\u00a0<strong>forums<\/strong> and online communities<\/li>\n<li>Rush out to buy <strong>escabeche mussels<\/strong> at the nearest grocery store. Or chorizo. Or Rioja wine.<\/li>\n<li>Go out to eat at the nearest Spanish restaurant (DON&#8217;T ask for a\u00a0<em>Menu del peregrino<\/em>!)<\/li>\n<li>With all your determination, get the\u00a0<strong>octopus<\/strong> out of the freezer, beat it and boil it to scare it and eat it with no pity. Of course, end your meal with a<strong> tart of Saint James<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Put your\u00a0<strong>boots<\/strong> on and go out for a stroll<\/li>\n<li>For lack of wide-open spaces, take refuge in the <strong>nearby park<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Prefer <strong>wide-open spaces<\/strong>, actually, as they&#8217;re so much better!<\/li>\n<li>Decide to go hiking for a whole <strong>week-end<\/strong>. Or <strong>1 week<\/strong>.
